Saturday, October 17, 9 am – light breakfast and talk ~ Seeking the Face of Christ – The Way of an Iconographer with Deb Korluka, author and Iconographer In her many writings about Iconography, Deb defines the purpose and technique involved in this ancient genre. She says an icon is a pilgrimage of prayer, inviting us as “a guest,a traveler, trying to find the kingdom of heaven and enter into it”. We will explore the traditional process of making an icon within the Eastern Orthodox tradition. Deb will also be willing to sign copies of her book that will be on sale as well.
