Admiration
Artwork by three St. Croix Valley artists is featured in “Admiration” at ArtReach St. Croix. The pieces by Taylor Berman, Debra Korluka and Julia Luna reflect their individual spiritual journeys and invite viewers to reflect on the universality of humans particularly as we start a new year.
Each artist brings a unique technique to the exhibition. Taylor Berman, of New Richmond, demonstrates influences from a variety of cultural and philosophical sources in his highly detailed lithographs. Debra Korluka, of Stillwater, uses traditional iconography techniques to produce a visual storehouse of theology and Orthodox tradition. Julie Luna, also of Stillwater, creates fiber reflections on her own spiritual relationships that are created with hand dyed fabric and hand stitched to reflect continuity with generations of fiber artists.
“Admiration” will be on display January 8-February 14 with on opening reception on Sunday, February 1 at 2-4pm.
