Upcoming Pilgrimage Plans

Fr. Ihar Labacevich, priest at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, and I have started planning the program to co-lead a pilgrimage tour to Minsk, Belarus, Vilnius, Lithuania and Kyiv, Ukraine in late summer 2015. These places are Fr. Ihar’s native lands. We are including Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, because it was a hub of Belarusian intellectual life between the World wars.

Promotions about this pilgrimage have been attempting to build awareness for humanitarian effort to help Fr. Ihar’s Uncle Siarhei. Past newsletters have introduced his situation. A wheelchair has been donated for his Uncle Siarhei’s needs. We are currently investigating options on how to send it.

Our plans are moving forward with sensitivity to the situation in Ukraine. Please follow the release of information in upcoming newsletters as we make decisions for travel, or view the Upcoming Tours page for more information.

    Hello Debra,

I just saw that you were at Wet Paint last night – I’m so sorry to have missed you and your demonstration. I am an artist of nature but have done a number of paintings from old religious sculptures and bas reliefs . I am so excited to see you work and to learn more. I also am vey interested in your trip to Europe next year.
Please email me if you would like to connect and I will send you images of my work so far.
I’m so thrilled to know that someone is continuing this work and is right here in the Twin Cities.

    Mary Anne O’Malley
